Synopsis

Stuck Poster

A raw, psychological comic drama about love, betrayal, and the blurry line between truth and lies.

Stuck unfolds during a trek in Uttarakhand, where two married couples — Vikram & Leela, and Parth & Aarohi — are led by a local couple, Devraj and Sunita. When a sudden snowstorm traps them on the mountain, physical survival gives way to emotional unraveling.

As buried secrets rise to the surface, Leela reveals Parth’s infidelity to Vikram — not just exposing Parth’s betrayal of Aarohi, but also unsettling the fragile trust within both couples. This revelation sparks deeper questions about loyalty, love, and the moral limits of honesty.

Meanwhile, Devraj and Sunita’s quiet, complicated marriage — where she knowingly lives with his affair — offers a stark contrast, revealing the quiet compromises people make to keep love intact.

Blending humor, jealousy, betrayal, and vulnerability, Stuck explores the messy contradictions of modern relationships — questioning whether truth truly liberates, or if survival demands a well-timed lie. It’s an emotional rollercoaster with unexpected turns, where no one comes out unchanged.

Director’s Note

The exploration of man-woman relationships has always fascinated me — two beings from opposite worlds, bound by ever-present conflicts yet locked together like yin-yang. This contrast sets the stage for a perfectly dramatic, deeply human, raw, humorous and emotional roller coaster ride.

At 48, married for over 20 years with a 16-year-old daughter, I often reflect on what keeps a relationship alive and what slowly breaks it apart. In a world where moral clarity fades and everything feels negotiable, I wonder: how much truth can a relationship truly hold? Or is there space for “white lies”?

Set against a remote Himalayan trek, Stuck uses the physical storm as a metaphor for emotional chaos, as the characters confront betrayals, desires, and hypocrisies. Stuck blends traditional Garhwal folk with modern experimental music, reflecting the clash between rooted traditional values and modern fluidity.

Stuck is about survival — Of love. Of truth. Of self.
